Those in the know buy only from Meredith Long. Specializing in 19th and 20th century American art, the Long gallery is the oldest gallery in Houston and among the most prestigious. Most days are appointment early, but check their web site for the Thursday evening openings. Very classy place, but you probably need a foundation and a weekend house in Aspen to afford the merchandise.
