Refused heartworm medication I have two dogs-one was seen at Canfel, the other at another local clinic. In August of last year, I took an original prescription for heartworm meds for the second dog to Canfel to be filled because Canfel carried a brand the other clinic did not. After filing the original prescription under the first dogs name instead of the correct one (who had been seen there before, but was misdiagnosed-Dr Wainwright missed a mitral valve problem), now Canfel is refusing to fill the second dogs heartworm meds because they do not have records of vaccines from last year. Vaccines were not given for heartworsm, Interceptor was, which is a pill. The original prescription which Canfel kept was good for a year and a year has not elapsed. There is no valid reason not to refill it. Use extreme caution if you take your pets here.

Nothing but good experiences! I have three cats, all of which have been treated at Canfel Care and have had only great experiences. The staff is kind, patient and knowledgeable. My cats are not the easiest to work with and they take it all in stride. My cat who hates people loves the doctor. These people obviously know and love animals and my pets have all received great care there.
