Trent Internationale School Reviews

Refreshingly practical, relevant and honest. Stagnancy doesn t exist in this school. Exciting and fresh high grade curriculum. The students are the main focus, and then the parents, who are normally the only targeted demographics in other schools. We would highly recommend this school to anyone who wants to see real results.

We are very exited that Trent has a high school now. The building is beautiful and the teachers are amazing. They have done a fantastic job for us. Our children have developed a love for learning for the first time. The curriculum is really well done the way the subjects relate to one another. The kindness is apparent the minute you walk through the school. The students are happy, well rounded, and very smart. We look forward to another year with Trent.

Please, please, please Trent, do not change a thing. We love everything about it. They re the kid s biggest fans. I think sometimes they get a bigger kick out of them than even the parents. We would hate for the opinion from one parent to seem like the voice of the majority. We love this school and can t imagine it turning in to just another lifeless mint printing schools in town. Our kids are happy while learning insane amounts. That s certainly more than any other school s ever done for us. I get at least 2 to 5 e-mails a day. If they don t have PE, they re at dance. If they don t have music, it s because they had play practice. For 3 years my kids ran aimlessly on a basketball court throwing balls at each other s heads while the coach talked to other teachers. That does not go on at Trent.

The good first, the children are mostly happy and learn. The bad; the school is disorganized. Most of the special classes as PE, music, art, etc does not happens when they should and the kids just watch a movie instead. No explanation to the parents. Think before enrolling your child since the contract says you are obligated to pay the full year even if by the second month there you realized that is not the right place for your child. No opportunity to regrets. You may feel a bit drowned by the ego of the school director; who also acts as composer, song writer, counselor, etc. Sometimes is just too much. When you talk to other parents you realize that the feeling is widespread and is the reason behind so many parents pulling their child out. A final recommendation: Try to talk to other parents of children at this school before enrolling yours.

We cannot thank the owner enough for what she has done for our family. With a heavy heart we move away knowing that we will never meet someone like her again but happy in the knowledge that our children will be better people for having known her. Thank you, Ms. Reeya for being my children s angel.

Trent is a God sent, and we refuse to get amnesia and pretend we did it all on our own. We have been at this school for 5 years and seen many families get the kind of attention we have and then forget. My kids were in a mess when we moved to this school. The administration has helped, not only with their academics, which is the best we've seen in Sugarland, but most importantly, with their behavior and manners. They are magicians. They took my kids and gave me back angels, and they ve never been happier. We must give credit where it s due. The trick is not to stand in the way and get defensive about your parenting skills. It s not about that, it s about the kids and just how far you can go if you don t forget that you may need help sometimes.

Best of all worlds. Trent is a small, boutique school, but the kids don't miss out on a thing. They take advantage of all the facilities in Sugar Land and surrounding areas. The kids play golf and tennis in a country club, dance in a dance studio, and play Soccer with the pros. We can t beat that for our kids. The education is spectacular, and the teachers are amazing. These people honestly work hard at keeping the kids perpetually excited about learning all through the year and not just the first and last weeks of school. We highly recommend it.

I think it is lovely that the majority of comments about Trent are positive. I encourage parents who are interested in the school to ask the owner to provide documentation how Trent students compare to the national average on the Stanford Achievement Test. If this information cannot be provided it is up to the parents to decide if they should continue looking. Private schools will give you written statistic. It is not a secret.

I would ask the person who wrote the report on Sept 5th to come back and see the 'new' Trent. Children who love their schools, happy and smiling. I have never had problems with the front office they are helpful beyond words.

We met a family at a party. Their children were so witty and self-assured that within an hour they had all the adults and children captivated. When we complimented the parents on their children, they gave all the credit to their school and its owner. They could not believe their luck in finding Trent and what a difference it had made for them. We visited the school and fell in love with it. It has only been a few months, and already, our friends have noticed a great change in our kids. We love this school.

I have been a student at the school for a very long time and believe that nothing should be changed, or interfeard with, because you can't disrupt eexcellence.

I agree with Sept. 21st, post. My child actually attends the school where I teach and yet, he still gets lost in the system. Being a Publilc School teacher, at a highly acclaimed elementary school in Houston, I think it's time I act. I stumbled across Trent/Drake by way of a family friend. Interestingly enough, I was so impressed with the behavior of this young man, that I inquired about the school he was attending. Needless to say it was Trent. For all of you who are blessed enough to attend Trent/Drake, count your lucky stars. You all are a part of a unique and cutting edge learning community.

I invite Sept. 5th reviewer to write another review in May. They might just become a believer like the rest of us. I had a slight case of shopper's remorse too; scared we made a mistake. We were used to the starched, cookie-cutter schools with seat assignments and robotic faculty telling us exactly what we wanted to hear so that we could guiltlessly disappear for the rest of the year. Only one problem, my child learned nothing for 3years. Trent is different. They get to know each child. No 'one size fits all' mentality. The parents are more about the kids and less about appearance and control. As parents, we're always scared, but the worst thing would be to miss out on a great thing because it's different. Give it a chance; they really know what they're doing.

Wish we had found Trent sooner. Their teachers actually teach. Wasted too much time in another school giving them chance after chance just because of their facilities. We have found that it's what goes on in the building that matters, and not the building itself. My kids are actually taught information at Trent, and not just given worksheets to learn at home. The stress is taken off of the parents having to teach their own kids late at night. Trent really should charge more maybe then they would be better appreciated.

This school was good before, but NOW, it's beyond compare. Evereything in this school is geared toward making a child good at EVERYTHING. Parents in this school want the best for their kids and that's what they get. If a child does not thrive in this school, then there is a problem elsewhere.

Trent Internationale, formerly Drake Private School, is one of the worst schools. Not only is the staff unprepared but also disorganized. From personal experiences, I have found that Trent/Drake had not prepared my daughter/son for High School. They are suffering in their core subjects. My son/daughter had attended Drake/Trent since elementary and they loved it, their grades were perfect but their high school grades do not reflect their outstanding grades in Drake/Trent. Either there is something wrong with my children or the school. I'm sure it is obvious what the answer is. If you want a REAL education, opt for public school, the money spent at this school is not worth it.

I have only Trent InternationalE School and it's talented staff of teachers to thank for the education that enabled my seventh grader to take a practice SAT test and actually outperform some college bound seniors. With etiquette, guitar, ballroom dancing, sports, Spanish, fine arts, and computer skills the school offers in middle school, he learns other important life skills.

We are new to Trent this year. My daughters really love all her teachers. After being in Trent for 4months, I have seen the greatest change ever in this school. This school experienced a bit frenzy the first few months. BUT Trent has worked hard to correct all those outstanding issues. Parents need to focus on that change as a positive note and move forward. Just take a look at the staff, teachers, parents who are very dedicated to their kids academic performance/education and the overall Trent Lifestyle. My kids really work hard at getting good grades and are about 1 to 2 grades ahead in many subject areas. Their education is taken seriously here.!

The administration, staff, PTO are now all joined together to make the kids education the best experience they will ever have. Just look at the results from the test scores and what they learn everyday from their homework and in their backpacks. I love the smiling faces of the teachers, staff when you enter the school and they really work hard to make sure your kids are taken care of!

Trent is an amazing school. I mean, other schools just think you're another kid that is supposed to be learning. But at Trent, you're a somebody. They treat you fairly, kindly, and respectively. I've been a student there for almost seven years, and I don't want to leave. Other parents are missing the point. They think that the academic level is under par, but that's probably because their child is not succeeding. The teachers do the best they can, which has much more devotion to teach than other teachers. Other students go to music, acting, and art and actually enjoy it, they aren't being forced to do it by their parents. Parent involvement is great, many parents help and donate alot. Amazing!

My child is a student at this school. I am very sad to say I made a very poor judgement. I truly have founded concerns about the education of my child here.

Trent Internationale is a gem in Sugar Land area. I am very impressed with the school involvement in students lives. It provides a very loving, healthy, and educationally enriching environment which is so healthy for laying down a strong foundation for our future tomorrow.

Recently I had the opportunity to witness my childs academic standing on a broader stage compared to many children from various prestigous private schools, from Houston and Houston proper. It was beyond obvious, my child small in statue was a giant academically compared to the other children, even to the point that parents who knew he was not from the area began to inquire of where he is enrolled. Way to go Trent!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Need I say more? The devotion and heart that is given to each and every child is phenomenal. It is always about what is in a child's best interest and that is it. You will not go wrong with becoming a part of this school system. It will become your family.

I have heard enough! Trent is the most amazing school on Earth!(I'm Not Exaggerating) The faculty is Amazing! Not to mention the students actually enjoy learning instead of hating the teachers! I know that Trent is the most phenomenal school ever.

I have one son who has attended Trent for 5 years and one who is completing his first year in the pre-school program. My youngest had attended a Montessori school previously and was very unhappy. At Trent he is extremely enthusiastic about school and his teacher. He loves interacting with students of all ages. He sees his older brother frequently during the day. The middle school students assume serious responsibility for the well being of the younger children. In the last year I have personally seen a positive transformation of the school. Activities include book fairs, field trips to cultural events, sports day, international holiday activities, guest speakers, travel to Disneyworld (London in '08), dance, music, art, computer,Spanish instruction, and thorough comprehensive testing of curriculum. The owner spends a majority of her time among the students. Active PTO and parent involvement offers support. Awesome school nurse and front office staff!

The comment that is mentioned in April 2007 is inaccurate. The staff and teachers are very friendly. Also, the quality of education is exceptional. I could not find a more nurturing environment for my child. He is much more advanced in his academics and his self confidence is soaring. I highly recommend this school. The teachers have years of experience. They are extremely patient and caring, and I am so thankful for Trent. The school has made a huge difference in my child's life.

We cannot say enough about the program. The advanced material is taught in such a cohesive manner that the children don't realize how quickly they are learning. Their teachers are amazing and all on the same page, so not to leave any gaps in the curriculum. Everything seems to make sense, and if they don't, you've only to ask the Director, and you'll understand. We only wished we had found this place sooner. They need to start a high school.

Brava, Trent. After trying other schools in Sugar Land, we never thought we would find the right fit. The leadership is exceptional. Everyone is on the same page and trained by the same doctrine. Our children work much harder with less stress.

This is my daughters first year in Trent and she has absolutely blossomed! In public school she was picked on by a few students on a daily basis and the teachers didn't seem to be able to help possibly because they didn't have the time or energy to get to the root of the problem. Since enrolling in Trent she is stress free - worry free - and her teachers care about her, more importantly her grades have gone up tremendously. The kids are great and she looks forward to school every morning. As far as I can see this is a wonderful school and I am grateful for the opportunity to have my child attend this academy.

There is a heart in this school and it beats for the kids. It is obvious in everything that they do. They have to work extremely hard, and yet there is a sense of belonging that my boys have never felt anywhere else. I felt so comfortable with this school that I actually allowed my son to go to Disney World with his Middle school class. God bless.

Trent Internationale is live and kicking. The school has rebounded nicely from the ownership split from earlier in the year. The parents and students who kept faith in the school have been reciprocated with commitment and utmost dedication by the administration. The teachers are more focused and the children are getting the attention they deserve. A school is judged by the positive environment and academic success. Judging by the joy and eagerness for learning I see in my children, my wife and I feel we made the right decision in rallying behind Uttara and the school. Keep up the good work, Trent. We wish you continued success.

My child has been going to Trent(Drake) ever since she was a small child. The Faculty is absolutely fabulous. The curriculum is very advanced and the students actually understand it. I recommend this school highly for parents to look into.

I am IN LOVE with this school. I'm not saying that at Trent we aren't disciplined or we don't have to respect our teachers, because I assure you we do, but the faculty actually CARES about us as people and what will become of us as we grow older. The small amount of students allow for great one-on-one education and it's a great mix of work and fun. This school may have a few scratches from past attacks, but scratches are never permanent. This school is amazing.

As a parent of both Drake and Trent, I can only say I am utterly disappointed. The new director told us she was keeping the teachers...all but a handful have left. There is none of the community feeling this school once had. Before the school became Trent every teacher and administrator knew my children's names, they are now simply a number. The teacher quality has dropped significantly. My children miss Drake. We will not be back. As a side note: my children are A students so this is not a gripe letter for poor grades.

Enough already! What a blessing rhis school has been for our children.Yes,we have heard it all! The administration and faculty are exceptional, the curriculum amazing. This school has a heart that beats in unison with our children! Come join us.

I am a first year parent and feel blessed to have my children be a part of Trent. The teachers, the director, and the staff have all been wonderful. My children love their new school and enjoy school for the first time. It would be a loss to any parent or child, not given the opportunity to see for themselves the values, spirit, and strength each child gains here! Thank you Trent!

I am very disappointed in the school, it's leadership and curriculum. I am a new parent this year and will not return for the second semester.

The advertised curriculum is very below expectations and not a true IB program. The atmosphere is negative and they find it difficult to communicate with parents. Parents need to do their homework before enrolling.

It is wonderful again. We were a little disappointed with the behavior of a few teachers who left, but it is now even better than we could ever imagine. With such highly educated and qualified teachers returning, we made the best decision to stay back. Obviously the school feel into the right partner's hands.

Trent Internationale (formerly Drake) is the absolute best school in Fort Bend. The school faculty and staff are incredibly positive and dedicated. Trent's curriculum is top-notch & my children are happier than ever before.

Disorganization with the way they process students. Bad experience and a waste of money.

Trent Internationale (formerly Drake)has been great for my child up until now. There has been a sudden transfer of ownership and this has been very disappointing because it has left the school in an uproar. The greatest teachers are trying to hang in there, however, a majority have been forced to leave despite their commitment to the children to stay. The new school, Trent Internationale will be interesting being that the majority of the teachers are leaving. Afterall, the teachers are what really make the school. Good Luck if you are interested.

My child has been at Trent Internationale (formerly Drake)Private School for two years. We loved the teachers, owners, staff and the entire Trent Internationale (formerly Drake) experience. Unfortunatly all of that has changed and is changing from a tremendous loss of teachers and staff and a owner leaving and the name itself will be changing. It is now an umpleasent enviroment for teahcers, students and parents. Thank you Trent Internationale (formerly Drake)for my childs memories he/she will treasure them always as we move forward to find a new school that has the same Drake feel and experience it you once had.

Trent Internationale (formerly Drake)has been a very good experience for my son in many ways. The teachers have been very supportive and nurturing. The teachers love what they do that is why they are there. It is a small school but that also makes it great.

My daughter has done very well at Trent Internationale (formerly Drake). She was to young for the public school kindergarten. The only problem was she was already reading at 4 yrs and doing math at a first grade level. Trent Internationale (formerly Drake) has taen her under their caring wing and allowed her to be her own person.

Great school! My niece was listed as special ed in public school. In only 1.5 Years the fabulous teachers brought her not only to grade level but she is now a freshman in high school on the honor roll! Thank you so much for all your care and time you spent nurturing and teaching meg.

The school is by far the best private school in Fort Bend. The staff is incredible and they care for each child as an individual. The owners are very in toon with the staff and students. My children have risen above average since enrolling at Trent Internationale (formerly Drake).

What an incredible experience my daughter had at Trent Internationale (formerly Drake). She is now going into her junior year at a Private High School in Houston and continues to excell. I attribute this to the trmendous education she received from Kindergaten through 8th grade. She was more than prepared to take Honors and AP classes in high school.I will forever be grateful to the faculty of the Trent Internationale (formerly Drake). If you are looking for a school that promotes a postive environment for your child and an excellerated curriculum, you must take a look at Trent Internationale (formerly Drake).

Trent Internationale (formerly Drake) is a very small private school. It starts at Pre-K and goes to 8th grade. My dissatisfaction with Trent Internationale (formerly Drake) was not with the elementary part of the school but with the fact that the Middle School is not nearly up to par. Kids in my child's public high school are farther along as freshman and my child was in the top of the class at Trent Internationale (formerly Drake) (sure glad I paid thousands in tuition). My other reservation about Trent Internationale (formerly Drake) is a lack of a gym or even a library. The positives are the teachers are very sweet with the kids and because it is small, you get to know everybody.
