Hamilton Middle School Reviews

i really love this school..its great!

I love this school! It has amazing extracuricuilar activities and great academics. The principal, teachers, and deans are great. They're all fair and nice. The school also loves parent involvement and try to encourage it. I have learned so much over the past few few years I've been here and have had so much with everyone. The Vangaurd Program is amazing. In math and science you learn the grade above yours (ex. in 6th grade you learn 7th grade math and science.) In 8th grade, if you do well enough, you can take algebra, and in 7th grade you can take Spanish with an amazing teacher. They also have a great karate program. Hamilton offers a great learning experience and environment. It is an exmpolary school, and a Texas recognized school.

The school has improved greatly due to pressure from parental involvement from parents of students in the honors and vanguard programs. However, the children are so segregated that the 'regular' level of students appear to be 'rough' when in reality they could probably use less segregation (of student leaders into upper programs, etc.) and more integration so that these students benefit as well instead of being left to seem as the 'low group'. A special needs student might have a hard time at this school and this is not fair as they are also entitled to the best public school education available.

I love this school. It has many opportunities to succed. The vanguard program is excellent the deans are so nice and fair as well. The best teachers in teh world!!!!! That is a true statement they will not stop until there children are fully taught and prepared not only for high school but for college. It's filled with energy and excitement. A great learning experience and enviroment. Texas recognized school.

Hamilton offers kids a great opportunity to excel. The have a wonderful Karate program. Their talent show is open to the entire student body, given kids who are not in organized programs the opportunity to be involved. The projects are directed to helping kids think instead of memorizing. We are blessed that our granddaughter has the opportunity to attend such as wonderful school. I do not know about their safety and discipline policies; however, I know that the campus police are respected and I assume they respect the students.

Hamilton Vanguard was really great for me. The classes were terrific and the school was always really secure. Hamilton really gives you a challenge and is excellent. The teachers are helpful and the nice people in the Vanguard office always made sure to help you if you were having a problem.

As a student, Hamilton was a great school while I was there. The school has its ups and downs like a normal school does, but it still succeeds. I recommend the vanguard program its really good!

The school staff does not work well with the parents regarding their child and any difficulties the child may have. They have a good Vangaurd program if you can get your child into this honors program.

This is a great school. The academic programs are strong and the faculty is very warm and friendly. My child is involved in band, theater arts, and karate. Parental involvement has helped to beautify the school. All four of my children have attended this school.

this school is the best if you are looking for a vanguard/magnet school and it also has a great dual language program and an 'awsome' band directer Mr.Lucas

My son has been in the Hamilton Vanguard program for 3 years. This year we've had many problems with the Vanguard dean. We have not found her to be helpful to us at all in navigating through the school. As a result, I cannot recommend the Vanguard program to other parents.

My son has been in the Vanguard program at Hamilton for 3 years. I find the campus to be safe and respectful. The PTO and school administrators have undertaken a major renovation of the exterior of the campus - which was sorely needed. However, I feel that the administration also needs to look at the teaching staff. Some of my son's teachers have been excellent and creative - which is what we expected with this program. Others have been stuck in another dimension unable to change from what they were taught 20 years ago!
