I think that this school and those who work so hard to keep it thriving and focusing on the children and their environment are doing a great job. This school is the glue that holds an older neighborhood together while giving many inner city children a great educational background in the process of instilling positive goals and character.

I work at Kashmere Gardens Elementary School and I feel the principal and staff members are working very hard to make sure that students are receiving the best education they can get. Our teachers go beyond the call of duty to provide the proper learning environment for students and also to ensure their safety and well-being. It takes more than just disseminating knowledge to educate children. You have to teach the whole child. This sometimes means providing a listening ear to personal problems or supplying the physical needs such as food and clothing.

Kashmere was once considered the best school in NE district. They are now concerned about the teachers and faculity well-being. They need to focus more on the students needs instead of their own. I have watched and observed how the teacher treat and degrade the students, the principal does nothing but take the teachers side. (She turn her head and close her eyes) That's not fair, not at all! What happen to no child left behind?
