Klein Intermediate School Reviews

This is an up and coming school that is looking to take different approaches to helping the students be successful. A quality education can be had at this school however, the student must do their part as well as the parent. Most of the faculty really care about the students and really want thier students to succede and focus on success.

I love my school.TAKS scores are rising and F.B.I. really influences us to have a positive attitude. We are growing everyday and learning more things and I'm really looking foward to my 8th grade year at Klein Int. I even passed commended on math, reading, and writing this year. I'm really happy my teachers had faith in me, that really made me feel special.

This is a great campus to be at. TAKS scores are rising as new generation of children are coming in. Teachers teach at the best of their abilities offering students after school turorials and before school activities. As the 2008 bond plan sets in, it would help the school campuses in KISD. The principals DO care for the students and also offer many programs helping our students succeed(AVID, ICARE, Tutorials, etc...) This campus is really turning around as we come into the future with broader teaching techniques.

My child attended this school for his eight grade year and came out failing 3 classes every semester. No one seemed to notice or make an effort to help other than putting him in a tutorial before school at 7am. There were many altercations among students and numerous students were sent off to juvenile detention facilities or homes. Low parental envolvement and lack of assistance from the administration and school staff.

There are several academic programs @ the school.CTE- to help with reading. In-school pull outs for students that cannot stay afterschool, Before & afterschool tutorials just to name a few.

The music and art deparment are poorly funded along with few extracurricular activities. Sports wise is ok. Level of parent involvement is low since school is in urban area.

My sixth grader whom just entered the school this past August really enjoys it. Teachers are very concerned with the students' academics as are the principals, the school not only provides before and after school tutoring but also provides transportation home for the afternoon sessions. Unfortunelty extremely low parent involvement at this campus.

The teachers are great, but the principals do not seem to care about students.
